soundwave was my favourite transformer?
Uplifting. That’s the one word i would use to describe this under the radar release from the combination of Mohammed Yahya and Songstress Sarina Leah. Although billed as a fusion of Hip Hop and African rhythm, its the Hip Hop takes centre stage. The African backdrop is definitely evident but takes a back seat for most of the proceedings. The constant positivity given translated by both artists is also to be commended. These guys spend the majority of their time saying what should be happening as oppose to what shouldn’t be. A great departure from the norm. Peep the evidence and support!
love, peace & happiness
Mohammed Yahya has been a busy man of late. His latest project is a collaboration with songstress Sarina Leah called Native Sun. These guys are all about highlighting social injustice and making the world a better place. See! Hip Hop isn’t all just bragadoccio and thugism eh folks?
consenting adults
This is why Hip Hop is the conduit to youth consciousness. Peepz that would never normally watch the news or any other current affairs program need only listen to artists such as Poetic Pilgrimage or Mohammed Yahya to find out what’s really going on. Poetic P’s second album', Starwomen, is coming soon. Peep the clip.
thieves in the night
These 2 are readying an album. If this track is a benchmark it should be a good one. Partake!
